Ah, but what if you are a do it yourself person? What if you see the employees at Home Depot or Lowes more than your children? Well, you can paint a vinyl window red without any real difficulty. Your first step is to remove the window if possible. You don't have to, but it makes things much easier. Whatever your choice, the next step is to sand the window thoroughly to create a surface the paint can stick to. Now paint it. Make sure to use an acrylic paint. Before the paint dries, take a razor blade and clean off any excess paint that has spread from the window to the glass.
There is an extra step you need to take if you have white vinyl windows. For some reason, sanding them is often not enough to get the paint to stick. I am sure there is a chemically complicated answer, but just know that you should take an extra step. After sanding, apply a coat of white shellac to the window. Make sure it is alcohol based. Then go ahead and apply the acrylic paint.
The good news is you can simply make your own red vinyl window instead of be restricted to what manufactures offer at any given time. That being said, you'll probably need to touch them up every three to five years unless you have them professionally repainted.
